A neat garden edge is like a picture frame enclosing a beautiful picture. It completes the look. Edging defines a garden. Edging could be of stone, aluminum, steel, brick or materials. It could be flush with the ground or raise. Or it could be ‘au natural’, nothing between grass and garden other that a crisp delineation. If you go this route, save your back and buy a heavy-duty lawn and garden edger. Sometimes called sod cutters, these machines roll on four wheels and have an enclosed, adjustable steel blade. They are easy to push along a bed and make a noticeable sharper cut than any other edgers. Troy-Bolt, Husqvarna and Honda are some manufactures.
