Garden School Series: Native Plants

06/27/2020 @ 10:30 am - 06/27/2020 @ 12:00 pm

27 Jun 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Rolling Green Nursery

As part of our free Garden School Series, we welcome Ray Defeo of Prides Corner Farm to teach us about American Beauties Native Plants and the importance of using native plants as often as we can in our gardens. Learn about the backyard wildlife habitat movement, how native plants support your local ecosystem, and how to make your yard a certified wildlife habitat.

American Beauties Native Plants are chosen for their important role in a regional ecosystem, for their beauty, and for their low maintenance needs. Many American Beauties provide essential nectar sources for our native insects and animals, including birds, butterflies, bees, deer, fish, and much, much more. By using native plants, you will attract more birds, butterflies and beneficial insects to your garden, and support — not damage — the balance of your regional ecosystem.
