Hydrangea is the most popular plant sold at garden centers nation-wide. It is also the longest blooming shrub, and comes in a wide array of varieties. Bloom colors include hues of blue, purple, pink, burgundy, lime and white. Bloom types include mop head, mountain climbing, panicle, smooth and oakleaf varieties. 4 – 5’. Flowers open green, mature to white before fading to green again. Very sturdy stems hold blooms upright even if soaked with rain. Very cold hardy shrub blooms on new growth, so even very cold winters won’t keep it from blooming.

Cold climate gardeners, rejoice: there’s finally a purple hydrangea for you! With its strong stems and tidy, rounded, dwarf habit, Invincibelle Mini Mauvette is a very versatile plant for landscaping or adding to flower gardens. Rebllomer, pink purple blooms, and impervious to bad pruning.

6-7′. Improved ‘Vanilla Strawberry’ variety. A summer stunner with strong, upright stems and large cone-shaped flowers. The flower color starts out white in July then progresses to dark pink. Full sun.

4-5′. A new, irresistible variety with the same show-stopping lime green flower clusters as Limelight, but a more compact form. The exquisite, long-lasting blooms on very sturdy stems age to nearly pure white. Gorgeous in fresh or dried cut flower arrangements.

6-8′. Unique chartreuse blooms in mid-summer that change to pink in fall. Good massed, as a hedge, in containers or as cut flowers.
